Multiport Rotary Unions — one rotating interface, multiple independent circuits

Modern machinery rarely needs just one fluid circuit through a rotating shaft. Cooling, lubrication, hydraulics, and pneumatics often have to pass through the same journal simultaneously — without cross-contaminating or interfering with each other. The Multiport range solves this with multiple fully isolated flow passages inside a single rotary union body, in three configurations depending on circuit count and whether electrical signal or power has to travel with them.

Why a multiport union, not multiple single unions

One body, one bearing arrangement, one maintenance point

Running several single-passage unions side-by-side on one shaft is possible, but it multiplies seal points, axial length, and failure risk. A multiport union consolidates every circuit into one body, one bearing arrangement, and one maintenance point — while keeping each circuit's media completely isolated from the others through independent seal rings and passages.

Standard Multiport Rotary Union

2–6 portsFluid only

The base configuration. Multiple independent flow passages (typically 2–6 ports, higher counts on request) through a single rotating body, each circuit sealed and isolated from its neighbours. Used wherever a machine needs more than one fluid circuit — coolant and lubricant, hydraulic supply and return, or several independent process media — transferred through the same rotating shaft.

Slipring Multiport Rotary Union

Fluid + electricalSignal / power

The 600 Series body combined with an integrated electrical slip ring assembly, so fluid circuits and electrical power or signal transfer share the same rotating interface. Built for machines that need instrumentation, sensors, or motor power on the rotating side — for example, a rotating drum with embedded temperature sensors that still needs coolant flowing through its shaft.

Duplex-Sealed Multiport Rotary Union

Duplex seal barrierMixed-pressure circuits
Spec pending confirmation

A duplex-sealed variant of the 600 Series, adding a secondary seal barrier between adjacent circuits. Intended for applications where circuits carry significantly different pressures or incompatible media, and a single seal wall between passages isn't enough isolation — for example, a high-pressure hydraulic circuit running alongside a low-pressure instrumentation air line in the same union body.

Where it's used

Wherever two or more circuits need to cross from stationary to rotating

Multi-axis rotary tables, rotating drums with instrumentation, combined hydraulic/pneumatic rotating manifolds, and any rotating machine interface where two or more independent circuits — fluid, electrical, or both — need to cross from stationary to rotating without physically separate unions.
